DMV Transit is an independent, unofficial service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by WMATA or any other transit agency. Agency names are used only to identify their services.
Using the service
You may use the website and the MCP server at https://dmvtransit.com/mcp free of
charge, for yourself or in apps and assistants you build, within the published limits. Please
don't try to get around those limits, overload the service, or use it to break the law.
Information is provided as is
Trip options, schedules, fares, alerts and other information come from the agencies' published data and web pages, and from other sources such as Google Maps and rider reports. Transit changes often, and this information can be late, incomplete or wrong. Always confirm with the agency before you travel, especially for the last trip of the day, accessibility needs, or anything time-sensitive. Rider reports are written by other riders and are not checked.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, DMV Transit and its creator are not liable for missed trips, fares, delays or any other loss arising from its use.
Accounts and what you share
If you create an account, you sign in with codes sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. Rider reports you send are shown to other riders and the assistant; leave out personal details. How information is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Other sources
Timetables are found through Transitland, maps use OpenStreetMap data via Protomaps, and some addresses and places come from Google Maps. Their own terms apply to their data.
Changes
The service, its limits and these terms may change or end at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
